Past
emediaIT was founded in February 2003 and since then has enjoyed continuous and improved growth year by year. We initially formed the company to focus on our ethicMail concept and much of the first year was spent on research and development, creating prototypes and the creation and submission of business plans to venture capitalists and financiers.
Towards the end of 2003, we began providing outsourced services to companies, including Lynx Internet, Dimension Data and Van Zyl, Rudd & Associates. These were the first steps in our change of focus towards becoming a generalist software development company.
2004 and 2005 saw the company being involved in a number of different projects in various industries, both through our outsourcing partners and also direct clients. emediaIT's first commercial products were also begun in earnest during 2005, in Catalyst and PeopleSource Recruitment which was an evolution from a largely services based provider to marketing and maintaining our own unique products and solutions.
2006 was largely spent focusing on our products, while running custom development projects. Some large projects were run during this time for clients including Saatchi & Saatchi, ITM and Gencode, including the Laboratory Information System preLink. In 2007/8 we were fortunate enough double our staff compliment and worked on some extremely exciting projects including Amazon Integration and a billing system that is to be used by local governments/municipalities. We also made it our mission to focus on the continuous improvement of our internal processes and systems so that we are confident in our ability not only to deliver, but to also exceed expectations.
Present
In 2009 we find ourselves reaping the rewards of the time and effort invested in providing a base from which the company can grow and flourish. We have a growing client base of local, national and international clients and usage of our products such as PeopleSource Recruitment has increased greatly.
We have moved offices and are looking to complete the full renovation of the new premises before the end of 2009. The new offices have been a breath of fresh air for our employees and a welcome "upgrade" for the company as whole.

The reason for this diversification is to allow us to offer our clients complete business solutions that fully utilise the skills and expertise of our team, often based on solutions that we use internally ourselves.
Future
Following on from our decision to diversify, we have planned further key enhancements to both our current service and product offerings and also additional offerings that we feel would benefit our current and future clients.
We are forming strategic partnerships with clients and service providers and will be able to offer our clients even more because of this. We are also moving forward with a structured Internship Programme with local educational institutions and are determined to show the world the quality that we can nurture and provide as a South African company.
As with everything we do, we will not settle for what we have and 2010 and beyond look brighter than ever.
